Art in Sixes Requirements
About the Exhibit
“Art in Sixes,” as the title implies, is a small works exhibition. It provides something unique for everyone in a size that fits anywhere. Whether you’re an art connoisseur, a browser, a collector, or someone needing that perfect gift, this event is not to be missed. Exhibitors are both new and established artists from the region and beyond (no reproductions are accepted).
How to Enter
Overview
- Art in Sixes is a juried show; not all entries will be accepted
- Pieces are no larger than 6 inches in any dimension (details below)
- Submit up to four pieces per artist
- Juried selection based on actual artwork, not reproductions
- Artwork must arrive by November 1st, 2026
- Exhibition on view November 14th – December 23rd, 2026
Submission Guidelines
Drop-off:
Bring your artwork to the DVAA with completed entry forms between Thursday, October 16th, and Sunday, November 2nd, during PUBLIC GALLERY HOURS. Thursday – Sunday, 11 am – 4 pm

Shipped work:
Artists may choose to ship their artwork to the DVAA. Shipped entries must arrive by Friday, October 30th.
Shipment MUST include tracking. DVAA is not responsible for damage or loss of artwork in shipment. Please track your shipment and confirm delivery with DVAA.

Jury Selection begins November 2nd. DVAA will notify all artists via email AFTER November 9th, 2026.
Artwork Guidelines
- No larger than 6 inches in any direction (not including frame or base)
- Framed size may be up to 10 inches
- The show is juried – not all work will be accepted
- Each artist may submit up to four (4) works
- Work previously exhibited anywhere at DVAA is NOT eligible
- All artwork must be original (no digital print reproductions of original works)
- Artwork must be ready to hang and professionally presented
- If framed, plain black, white, or neutral frames are suggested, and no bigger than 10” on any side
- Gallery shelves are available for small sculptures
- All media considered
- All artwork must be for sale, with prices starting at $60 and up
- Artists receive 70% of the proceeds or 75% for DVAA members
Kids Make Sixes
Children are invited to be a part of DVAA’s annual art extravaganza! Entries are limited to 2 per child. DVAA will provide the 6″ x 6″ canvas(es)!
For extra inspiration and FUN, join teaching artist Adrienne Hloderwski at one of our upcoming Drop-in Art-Making Workshops at DVAA.

Canvases & art-making supplies will be provided!
Can’t make it? You can still pick up a canvas at DVAA, to create your masterpiece!
Membership Benefit
As a benefit, DVAA members receive 75% of the sale price of their artwork. You do not need to be a member to participate. Joining DVAA or renewing your membership during the “Art in Sixes” drop-off has become a great time to support the DVAA.
