Gallery Manager

DVAA is seeking dynamic candidates for the regular part-time position of Gallery Manager

This is an exciting time for arts programming in the Upper Delaware Valley/Sullivan Catskill region. With immense talent that is both locally based and engaged in the area, the arts are central part of our area’s identity. Our audiences are informed and curious, with a strong interest in high-caliber offerings. DVAA’s visual arts programming has served as one of our flagship programs since we were founded.

As DVAA’s Gallery Manager you will be the primary manager and contact person for our Visual Arts programming and responsible for the coordination and implementation of year-round exhibitions, interpretive programming, and related projects that fall under the sphere of the Visual Arts.

Schedule

This is a two-day per week position with additional paid time for de/installation weeks.

Compensation commensurate on experience, plus reimbursements for work-related travel and expenses. Flex time is additionally offered to meet key deadlines and/or provide support at essential public events.

The position is performed on site at DVAA’s 37 Main Street location where safety guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 are followed. DVAA maintains a virtual work environment to accommodate for interruption of in-person workplace.

Founded in 1976, DVAA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization. Located in Narrowsburg, NY, DVAA supports artists and arts organizations in the Upper Delaware Valley and throughout Sullivan County, NY. DVAA presents engaging programs in the visual, performing, literary, and media arts.

Through year-round exhibitions and performances in the Tusten Theatre and Krause Hall as well as popular annual community arts events including the Big Eddy Film Festival and Riverfest, DVAA provides access and exposure to the arts amidst engaged and passionate audiences.

As the Arts Council of Sullivan County, DVAA is committed to advocating on behalf of and strengthening the County’s cultural community.

Part-time staff receive  a paid week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day in addition to federal and observed holidays, and two paid sick days.
