“You’ve Seen My Flesh” is a collection of photographs by Dani Case, showcasing the surrounding and inner universe a young artist in a place where solace and community are found in equal measure.
Raised by a single mother of two in Narrowsburg, NY, Dani would spend her childhood days among the forests oaks and swimming in the catskill waters. Her upbringing greatly influences her work as she captures the tender, quasi-family connections built in a town of a few hundred people.
Dani explores deeply personal aspects of the human experience with sensitivity, inviting viewers into the intimate worlds of her subject and self. Each image is a glimpse into the hidden depths of relationships, and into the power of vulnerability and self expression. Her eye for subtle nuances of the human form reveal something provocative and previously unseen.
