Cadence Giersbach (Cochecton, NY) brings her exhibition, “Anxious Nature,” to the Alliance Gallery, featuring a whimsical array of paper pulp sculptures inspired by the vibrant colors of spring. Giersbach’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in her experiences as a gardener, translating the textures and emotions of the natural landscape into striking sculptures.
Giersbach, a New York native, holds a BA from Vassar College and an MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts. Her extensive exhibition history includes prestigious venues such as the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City. Giersbach’s accolades, including a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Fellowship, highlight her significant contributions to the contemporary art scene.
