The beauty of flowers, art, and poetry will come together in Narrowsburg this July. “Art in Bloom and Verse,” DVAA’s annual pop up exhibit, features live floral arrangements and original poetry inspired by the paintings or sculptures of local artists. It is truly a unique show, and is on view for one weekend only due to the perishable nature of the plant life.
“It is an absolute honor to co-curate this year’s pop up show, which has been a tremendous success in years past,” says Kristin Porter. “The floral interpretations and poetry really bring the art to life.”
Artists include J.E. Crum, Len DeLuca, John Griffin, Rena Hottinger, Sue Julien, Alan Kaplan, Deborah Pollack, Janet Rutkowski, and Alexis Siroc. Floral designers include Suzanne Bold – Bold’s Garden Center and Florist, designed by Kathy Lawless, Katie Carpenter, Sharon Chopping, Juliet Dunn, Mia Koerner, Jane & Claudine Luchsinger, Allison Peck, Kristin Porter, and Jill Wiener – Earthgirl Flowers.
Poets include Matt Carpenter, Cass Collins, Will Conway, Bernie Creamer, Nancy Dymond, Jerry Ganyer, Dorothy Hartz, Mort Malkin, and Tracy Ranze
