Website Design & Production

This course showcases the easiest processes for developing websites on a variety of web-hosting platforms. This class teaches the basics for building pages, menus, headers, footers, adding forms, and other common features used on most websites. We will review basic Search Engine Optimization (“SEO”), “Responsive Websites” and the production of graphics to common specifications.

Students will learn how to build websites – with no coding skills required – on several website-building platforms like WordPress, WIX and Shopify. During the course, students will develop and publish a website for themselves to display their own artistic products and services.

You will learn several strategies for professional success in the field of Website Development within the larger economic-system of the Tri-State region (NY, NJ, CT). We will emphasize the importance of professional networking within creative and business communities locally, nationally and globally, and how to incorporate this practice for your own business’ success.
