Opening Reception “OUT OF HAND AND FOOT”

Ruffed Grouse is excited to announce the opening of their Spring exhibition:

OUT OF HAND AND FOOT:

TANNER SIMON AND CHARLES FARLESS

Opening Reception: April 11, 5–8 pm

Tanner Simon (b. 1998, Honesdale, PA) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work merges digital aesthetics with traditional painting. He holds an MFA from the University of South Florida and has exhibited nationally, with solo presentations at Art Center Sarasota and The Mothership, Woodstock, NY. His work explores power, perception, and contemporary iconography through flattened, digitally inflected compositions and kinetic sculpture.

Charles Farless (b. 1946, Staten Island, NY) is a painter and sculptor whose practice spans abstraction and biomorphic imagery. A longtime member of 55 Mercer Street Gallery, New York (1989–94), where he presented five solo exhibitions, Farless has exhibited widely across New York and the region, including shows reviewed in The New York Times. His work explores intuitive, “automatic” processes through richly layered compositions and the evolving Walking Heads and Fantastic Flowers series.
