“The Shape of Paper”
The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) presents “The Shape of Paper,” a group show organized by Jamie Scherzer that features artists expanding the boundaries of paper as a medium.
The works on view range from installation, sculpture, fiber, and metal, to more seemingly traditional works on paper. The exhibition features handmade paper being interpreted and reinvented through mix-media and multi-dimensional processes.
Artists in the collective include Xuewu Zheng who creates paper sculptures and installations, Maggie Oakes who works on paper and creates installations, Hayoon Jay Lee who works with rice paper and creates dimensional work, Emilie Houssart who creates paper sculptures and installations, Jamie Scherzer who works with jewelry and metal-based materials combined with paper and Sariah Park who works with paper, fiber and soft sculptures.
Located at 37 Main St, Narrowsburg, NY, and on view through Sunday, June 19, DVAA’s exhibitions are free and open to the public. masks recommended.
