Opening Reception at WCAA

WCAA GALLERY OPENS TWO NEW EXHIBITS ON 4/9/26

“HOME AND AWAY” (April 9 through May 16)

“TREE TOO” (April 9 through May 23)

An opening reception for both exhibits will be on April 10, 2026 – 5-8pm at the Wayne County Arts Alliance Gallery, 959 Main Street, Honesdale PA

The Gallery is open Thursdays through Sundays 11am-4pm.

“HOME AND AWAY” is the WCAA Gallery’s first all photography exhibition, and represents the work of two regional photographers, Paul Gelsobello and Nadine Kloss-Gannon. The exhibit combines images taken by Gelsobello here at “home”, and Kloss-Gannon’s work taken far “away”, and gives viewers the opportunity to make connections about form, composition and color, seen through two unique artists’ lenses.

Paul Gelsobello has been taking photos professionally for 50 years. Since 1983, he’s been based in NYC in the heart of Chelsea, welcoming art directors, designers, publishers, and other creatives seeking images to elevate their products & publications. Beyond the studio, he’s an experienced location photographer, traveling nationwide and abroad to capture compelling photos on-site. He resides part time in Lakeville, PA.

Nadine Kloss-Gannon picked up her first camera at the age of fourteen, quickly discovering that photography allowed her to express her thoughts and emotions in ways words could not. Her images became her way of communicating with the world around her.

Nadine has been a flight attendant for United Airlines for the past twenty-eight years, a role that has allowed her to see places she might never have otherwise encountered. Her travels have exposed her to diverse cultures and landscapes, which continually inspire her photographic work. She lives in Lake Wallenpaupack, PA.

“A tree is a passage between earth and sky.”
– Richard Powers, “The Overstory”

“TREE TOO” is the WCAA Gallery’s first group members show of 2026, and represents work by 41 member artists. The exhibit reflects artists’ investigations into trees as subject matter, through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, photography, sculpture, fiber art, and mixed media, and was inspired by “TREE”, our 2026 Student Exhibition. Participating artists are: Barbara Carpenito, Barbara Morcerf, Barbara Zweig, Bill Westmoreland, Colleen Campbell, Dale Emmart, David Soete, Dean and Krista Scharf, Diane Stout, Elizabeth McAllister, Gail Tuchman, Geoffrey Fowler, George Peterson, George Penyak, Hana Marritz, Hillary Fontana, James Frost, Jami Taback, Jane Biron, Joan Polishook, Keith Helwig, Linda Murphy, Lindsay George, Marguerite Fuller, Marie Kramer, Marjorie Morrow, Mary Ardan, Monique Milleson, Nancy Palubniak, Naomi Teppich, Norma Bernstock, Patricia Blauth, Phyllis Chekenian, Rachel Caudell, Rich Klein, Rocky Pinciotti, Sandy Schoenholtz, Scott Sternback, Susan Cottle, Tom Biron, Tom Holmes.
