Celebrate Parksville’s Borscht Belt history with an afternoon of art, music, film, and food at New Memories/Conflux Gallery Art Collective and Double Up – a converted double-decker bus eatery!

Schedule of Events:

2:00 PM – Marker Dedication CeremonyJoin us at the intersection of Parksville Road & Short Avenue for the unveiling of our 14th historic marker. Speakers include John Conway, Sullivan County Historian, Rosanne Skopp, writer and descendant of the Bauman House, Kim Rayevsky of Double Up and long-time Parksville resident Judy Sisselmann. Parking available in adjacent lot.

3:00 PM – “Meet Me in Parksville!”Head over to New Memories/Conflux Gallery Art Collective & Double Up (268 Old Route 17/Parksville Rd) for post-dedication festivities.

Enjoy a glorious fall afternoon featuring:

Live music inspired by the Borscht Belt and beyond

A special screening of the 1950 film Catskill Honeymoon, shot on location at Parksville’s Young’s Gap Hotel. This vibrant period piece captures classic Catskills life with scenes of golf, tennis, calisthenics, and sunbathers.

Local wine and cider served.

Food available for purchase from Double Up, including borscht!

All events are free and open to the public.
