Kevin Bewersdorf, filmmaker, actor and composer presents a documentary called “New Kingston” which focuses on a small hamlet in Upstate New York where a newcomer becomes a handyman to an aging population. Through conversations with elders, workers and others, a kind of meditative examination of place and time is explored where natural beauty, work, aging and lives intertwine. With a painterly approach to video, Bewersdorf creates a Edward Hopper-like film that addresses the tenderness on which it all rests.
