JANE WELLS – HOW TO LIVE WITH DREAD at NACL
Jane Wells is an actor, writer, and director based in Toronto. She describes How to Live with Dread as “a show about family, about death, and about the work of creation… But in a fun way!”
Having recently lost her brother Ker (who directed and performed in numerous NACL original productions), she grapples in this new work with how to find the way forward in life and in her work without him — so close was their connection as siblings and collaborators.
Jane was part of the original cast in the NACL production The Mystery of Lakewood House. She has also performed with Number Eleven Theatre in Icaria and The Prague Visitor at NACL, and in The Curious History of Peter Schlemihl at Bethel Woods. Her solo show Brightness Falls, which she created with Ker was also workshopped and presented at NACL.
Stay after the presentation for delicious soup and conversation!
