Artist Reception: Ioannis Glykokokalos at TESS

TESS announces its second in a series of artist Pop-Ups, featuring Ioannis “Yanni” Glykokokalos (1937-2017) with an opening reception on Saturday, February 10 from 3 to 6 at 15 Main Street, Narrowsburg, NY.

Known for having more that 50 one man shows and work included in more than 500 private, corporate and museum collections, “Nudes” will share more than half a century of Mr. Glykokokalos’s depictions of the human form.

“Painting for me is what yeast is to bread. A good painting should be fresh and unpredictable, with the tension and reality of a compressed spring,” the artist once wrote.

The TESS pop-up will run through March 17, 2024, Fridays – Sundays 11am to 4pm, (Saturdays to 5), or by chance or appointment. “Nudes” will run concurrently with the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s shows by Cadence Giersbach and Walter Parti.
