Hudson Valley Flamenco

Performing live on the library’s outdoor stage will be Nahede Khosrovi, Dancer and Performer of Flamenco; Flamenco Singer, Flutist, and Composer, Alfonso Cid; and Flamenco Guitarist, Greg Melnick.

Nahede Khosrovi has been dancing all her life starting with Ballet and then Flamenco. In 2020, Nahede founded “Candela Flamenca”, a flamenco initiative to dramatize new dimensions of classic stories and showcase themes of vitality, defeat, triumph, and tragedy.  Renowned Flamenco singer, flutist, composer, and historian Alfonso Cid was born and raised in Seville, the heartland of Flamenco music. Upon moving to NYC he’s made guest appearances at venues like Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium, to name a few. Greg Melnick has been studying Flamenco guitar for several years and currently works with Flamenco Vivo.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support from the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.
