“Hiking Boots, Bears, and Blisters” at the Liberty Public Library
On Thursday August 29th at 6PM the Liberty Public Library will present “Hiking Boots, Bears, and Blisters: A Woman’s Backpacking Adventures from the Catskills to the Grand Canyon” a presentation by Jeffersonville resident, Ashely Furey.
A 2nd grade teacher at the George L. Cooke School in Monticello, Furey will talk about everything from planning and packing for short to long hiking trips, how she avoids bears and stays safe, and what she loves most about turning off tech and tuning in to nature.
Whether you’re an armchair adventurer or an outdoorsperson looking to step to the next level, this will be a fascinating opportunity to learn, be inspired, and ask questions!
