HIDEAWAY CIRCUS – Canvas Sky

NACL welcomes back the talented performers, artists, and technicians of Hideaway Circus for a second year. Witness magic in the making as this international ensemble shares a preview of the new show, Canvas Sky, currently in development.

Last year this traveling family circus troupe wowed the crowd along the shore of Highland Lake where they will again erect their stage before embarking on a 35-week national tour.

Canvas Sky features a relatable tale exploring the themes of self-acceptance and uplifting one another. We follow the story of a clown who struggles to ‘fit in’ and find his voice, until he gets a little help from a friend who has already figured out how to embrace what makes her wonderful and unique.

Showcasing a dazzling array of ten world-class performers, Canvas Sky blends the wonder of classical circus with a contemporary storyline, all underscored by entirely original music. Crafted by Hideaway Circus founders, the innovative Josh & Lyndsay Aviner, this family-friendly experience is perfect for all ages.

Join the fun on Highland Lake, across the street from NACL, Friday, May 24th at 5pm (Rain Date Saturday, May 25th at 1pm) and be the first to witness this new work before they begin the first leg of a national tour through NY, CT, MA, ME, NH, VT, PA, MD, VA, NC, and GA.
