DVAA is delighted to present Catskills Mountain Shakespeare’s production of Hamlet on Wednesday, April 22nd.

Directed by London Academy of Dramatic Arts graduate and CMS Company Member Sydney Berk. Reimagined through a bold contemporary lens, this production is set in a punk-inspired 1980s world, electrifying Shakespeare’s classic with the raw energy of rebellion, youth culture, and political unrest.

Streamlined into a fast-paced 90-minute touring adaptation and performed by a dynamic cast of six actors, Hamlet explores the play’s timeless themes of authority, identity, and defiance. The result is a visceral, high-impact production with no intermission that delivers Shakespeare’s language with urgency and clarity, designed to captivate modern audiences and first-time Shakespeare viewer.
