Author, podcaster and former Broadway performer Maria Failla lost her job, her apartment, and then her wedding was cancelled in 2020. Less than two years later, her podcast Growing Joy with Plants had over 2M downloads and she was offered a book deal with a major publisher. Now a resident of Parksville, Maria will fill us in on how she went from plant killer to plant whisperer, and how her book Growing Joy: The Plant Lover’s Guide to Cultivating Happiness (and Plants) was grown along the way.
