Gramercy Brass Orchestra kicks off exciting 29th season at Shandelee Music Festival

The Shandelee Music Festival (SMF) celebrates its 29th season with an exciting two-weeks of world class music. The 2022 season begins on Saturday, August 6 with “An Evening of Chamber Music,” featuring a performance by the Gramercy Brass Orchestra. The concert will showcase the music of Sir Arthur Sullivan (of Gilbert and Sullivan fame), Meredith Willson (composer of The Music Man), legendary composer John Williams (Star Wars, Superman, ET, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, etc.) and more.

The New York Times called The Gramercy Brass “The ultimate in pomp and circumstance,” and the Gettysburg Festival News said, “The Gramercy group may very well be the most exciting brass group I have ever heard.”

The August 6 concert by The Gramercy Brass Orchestra will be performed at SMF’s fully accessible, climate-controlled Sunset Concert Pavilion, located at 442 J. Young Road, Livingston Manor.

All performances in the Sunset Concert Series begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for SMF members, and $10.00 for students 17 and under.

Advanced reservations are strongly suggested. Call 845-439-3277. Or purchase your tickets and get more information online at www.shandelee.org.
