From Cow to Cone

On Saturday August 12th at 2:00 pm the Liberty Public Library will present “From Cow to Cone: How a 7th Generation Farmer Pursued Her Dream to Make and Sell Ice Cream”, an event perfect for a summertime family outing. Rianne Erlwein of Ri’s Farm Made Ice Cream and Myers Century Farm in Jeffersonville, NY will talk about transforming her family’s business of selling milk to making and selling her own ice cream and other high quality dairy products in Sullivan County and on down into NYC. Rianne will discuss what it was like to grow up on a farm, the steps she took to create her own milk processing and ice cream making plant, and how she grew her business…and her herd of beautiful Jersey cows. Most importantly, there will be samples to taste (…while supplies last)!
