Day and Night: Return the Borscht Belt

Join the Borscht Belt Historical Marker Project for their second historic marker dedication at 1:30 pm on Sunday, August 13 in the town of Mountain Dale, NY!

Afterwards stay for the opening of the exhibition Day & Night: Return to the Borscht Belt. This contemporary photography exhibit presents the work of photographers Marisa Scheinfeld & Isaac Jeffreys alongside archival material from the famed era. The juxtaposition of Scheinfeld’s naturally lit style versus Jeffreys theatrical, staged approach offers a manifold celebration of the Borscht Belt in its most contemporary state.

1:30 pm: Historic Marker Dedication at the Community Board on Post Hill Road

(Across from the Mountain Dale Post Office)

2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Exhibition Opening at the Grocery Store Gallery
