A Bad Year for Tomatoes

The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop will have you fall down laughing with its hilarious production of “A Bad Year for Tomatoes”, a farce in two acts by John Patrick, expertly directed by Charlie Redler.

Gracious, glamorous Myra Marlowe, fed up with fame after a very long career as a television actress, retreats to a small town, planning to live quietly and anonymously, write her juicy autobiography, and grow her own tomatoes. The story involves Myra’s wild imagination, her new neighbors and small-town culture, leading to a series of comedic and dramatic events.

Local actors Rachel Ferrari, Pam LeConey, Jean Eifert, Joseph Jervais, Amber Schmidt, Paul Puerschner, and Joe Watts portray all the characters who are over-the-top outrageous and who absolutely disprove the premise that you can “get away from it all and live a quiet life”.
