Improvised Cabaret Benefit for DVAA

Starling Cabaret, Friday, May 19th, 7 PM

Delaware Valley Arts Alliance invites you to join us for an evening of fabulous fun and entertainment for the STARLING CABARET, a one-night-only Improvised Cabaret Benefit for DVAA.

On Friday, May 19th, at 7 PM, the Starling at Pond Eddy will transform into a DAZZLING SPEAKEASY where society swells and classy dames gather to hear some of NYC’s finest improvisers.

From the stars of Broadway’s Next H!T Musical, we bring you CLUB STARLING, a totally improvised cabaret. Inspired by AUDIENCE SUGGESTIONS, the performers will create a spontaneous evening of music, comedy, and a ton of laughs! Totally off the cuff —and off the wall!

Join our host and emcee, GREG TRIGGS, as he introduces us to star performers DEB RABBAI, DANIEL TEPPER, and KATIE HAMMOND, accompanied by the incredibly talented GARY ALDER on piano!

Come out to support the work of DVAA and the thriving arts scene in Sullivan County with a hilarious evening of song and laughter. This BENEFIT PERFORMANCE will be a night to remember.

 Tickets: $75 per person

DVAA is a 501(c)(3) multi-arts presenting organization in Sullivan County, NY. Contributions are fully tax deductible.

Built in 1883, The Starling is reported to be one of the last known buildings to have been constructed along the Historic Delaware and Hudson Canal. Our Cabaret will take place on the ground floor, originally a general store, with much of the original character intact— perfect for a vintage-themed speakeasy event.

SUPPORT DVAA

Since 1976, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, has been the cornerstone for the cultural community of the Sullivan Catskills and Upper Delaware Valley Region.

DVAA serves as a cultural home, providing artists with platforms to share their voices with audiences in our galleries, on our stages, and at our festivals. Additionally, DVAA funds local creatives and cultural organizations through our role as the Arts Council of Sullivan County.

In 2023, DVAA will present over a dozen exhibitions featuring new and emerging visual artists from around our region as well as new works from accomplished mid-career artists. The year will close out with the 19th annual Art in Sixes – an exhibition that celebrates our community’s vast and diverse talent.

Over two dozen live performances will take place at the Tusten Theatre and in Krause Recital Hall featuring new productions in theater, music, dance and more!

DVAA’s community arts programming features events like Riverfest, now in its 33rd year (Sunday, July 23, 2023) and the 12th annual Big Eddy Film Festival (September 28 – October 1). Produced by DVAA, these events create unique access to the arts for the entire public to enjoy in unique and intimate settings. Launching this fall, DVAA will host a series of afterschool offerings in art making and performance to be announced in late spring!

DVAA’s commitment to strengthening the Arts in Sullivan County through our longstanding regrant programs has never been greater – with over $90,000 in regrant funds and scholarships to be distributed to artists and arts organizations in Sullivan County through partnerships with the New York State Council on the Arts and the Sullivan County Legislature. Those funds support community-based arts activities that will engage over 20,000 people in 2023! In addition, DVAA’s community arts calendar and weekly arts happenings email promotes the diverse cultural activities throughout the area.
