Toast DVAA’s history and revel in our local acting talent with this much-loved play.

DVAA’s 50th Anniversary re-staging of Our Town, directed by Greg Triggs, will assemble a cast of talented local actors to bring Thornton Wilder’s 1938 Pulitzer-Prize winning play back to our community. The 1975 local production, which formed part of the Narrowsburg’s Bicentennial celebrations, lay the groundwork for DVAA’s founding in 1976. We hope that this ambitious re-staging will bring our community together once again to enjoy this classic celebration of small-town life.

Our Town and the founding of DVAA
In 1975, a group of performers under the direction of Elaine Giguere and Tom DeGaetani helped our community celebrate the nation’s Bicentennial with a full-length theatrical production of Our Town, Thornton Wilder’s 1938 Pulitzer-Prize winning play about the preciousness of life told through the eyes of the residents of a small town. The resulting production which was performed in Narrowsburg and Callicoon laid the seeds for the founding of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) in 1976.
