Coffee & Conversation with Ryan Ward
Enjoy coffee and pastries in the DVAA Galleries on Saturday, October 22nd, at 10:30 am with artist Ryan Ward. Ward will be speaking about his exhibition, “3,2,1 – Ring Baloney,” on view through October 30th.
Ward’s work likens the amusement park to our lives unfolding through the news, politics, social media, and, increasingly, firsthand experience. How we strain our eyes to identify truth from a lie, a good-faith intention from manipulation, an honest gesture from pure fabrication, yet these become more and more out of focus. We are in the Hall of Mirrors—the Funhouse…is there a way out?
He is the owner/Director of The Ruffed Grouse Gallery in Narrowsburg, NY, and is the Curator of The Maslow Collection in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Ward has taught at Studio Arts College International in Florence, Italy, and currently teaches drawing and painting at Marywood University.
