Back to the River – The Art Garden

Join us on August 27th, from 4-6 PM, for the unveiling and reception for 5 new sculptures at the Art Garden, 52 Second Ave. in the Flats of Narrowsburg, NY. Artist Talks will be presented.

Rain date: August 28th, 4-6 PM.

Free to the public and open daily all year, 10 AM- 6 PM.

The Art Garden in the Flats at 52 2nd Avenue in Narrowsburg presents new work at their Back to The River Garden Party on Thursday August 27, 2026 (rain date August 28) from 3-6 pm. Admission is free year-round to the outdoor sculpture garden which is open daily from 10am-6pm. The party will feature artist talks. Light snacks and beverages will be served.

Curators Cass Collins and Naomi Teppich report that “Several new pieces have graced the Art Garden recently. Noted ceramicist Matt Nolen, a Narrowsburg resident, installed his 2026 diptych “From the Shadows.”  Bernard Klevickas replaced his previously shown work with “Untitled (Red Assembly)” a large 2007 sculpture of pressed aluminum with polished stainless steel. Juan Rigal, another local artist, presents two new works “Reptilian/Fiesta” (2025) made from acrylic on sheet metal, iron and plastic, and “Dodge Hub Bouquet I, II, III” a bouquet of acrylic on plastic and metal hubcaps.”

Sculptor Jodi Carlson is installing her work “Vortex” from the 2025 Energy Swirl Series this summer. Dustin Werner Fazio is constructing his sculpture onsite. Made from wood flood-detritus it is titled “Diluvial.”
