WCAA reopens with reception for new exhibit TREE

“TREE” OPENS MARCH 7, 2026 AT THE WCAA GALLERY

There’s a forest growing in the WCAA gallery at 959 Main Street in Honesdale.

The WCAA Gallery opens its’ 2026 season with an exhibition of Wayne County School District’s student artists. “TREE”, a collaboration between Wayne Highlands, Wallenpaupack Area, Western Wayne School Districts, the Wayne Conservation District and the Wayne County Arts Alliance, showcases the work of 700 K-12th grade students, and celebrates trees in a variety of ways.

In October of 2025, the Wayne Conservation District donated and planted a native tree on every Public School campus in Wayne County. The Conservation District and the WCAA collaborated with public school administrators, teachers, and students who participated in “Planting Ceremonies” that provided inspiration for the creation of “TREE” art in schools all over the county. “TREE”, the culmination of this collaboration, will be on view at the WCAA Gallery at 959 Main Street in Honesdale from Saturday, March 7, 2026 through Frday, April 3, 2026. The Gallery is open Thursdays thru Sundays 11am-4pm.
