Join the Borscht Belt Historical Marker Project for its 15th historic marker dedication!

Celebrate the dedication of the Marker Project’s 15th historic marker, saluting Livingston Manor’s pioneering and youthful spirit. This special day will be filled with history, photography, and film, including rarely seen archival materials.

As part of the celebration, join us at Catskill Art Space for “Wish You Were Here: Tracing the Resort Era in Livingston Manor”, an illustrated talk with photographers Isaac Jeffreys and Marisa Scheinfeld that explores the golden age of Livingston Manor’s Borscht Belt era. 2:00 PM – Marker Dedication CeremonyJoin us at the intersection of Main & Pearl Streets, Livingston Manor for the unveiling of our 15th historic marker. Speakers include Assemblywoman Paula Kay, Judy Siegel, descendant of the Edgewood Inn and Sarah Teresa Halpern whose family owned Sorkin’s Department Store in town.

3:30 – 5:00 PM – Wish You Were Here: Tracing the Resort Era in Livingston Manor” at Catskill Art Space (48 Main Street)

Join photographers Isaac Jeffreys and Marisa Scheinfeld for a powerful visual journey into Livingston Manor’s Borscht Belt past. Through rarely seen photographs, artifacts, and archival footage, this illustrated lecture explores the people, places, and pivotal moments that shaped Catskills culture and its enduring influence. The duo will also offer a sneak peek at upcoming works from their forthcoming publications.

5:00 PM – TBD: Afterparty at Sunshine Colony  (47 Main Street)

Wrap up the day at Sunshine Colony, a cozy bar featuring natural wine, craft beer, and laid-back outdoor vibes. Come mingle, raise a glass, and keep the conversation going.
