Bethel Historic Marker Dedication
Our 8th historic marker dedication takes place in Bethel this Saturday, August 17 at 2:00 pm — on the 55th anniversary weekend of Woodstock!
Find us lakeside at Kauneonga Lake’s Gazebo Park with a groovy 1960s & 70s musical backdrop. Dedication Speakers include photographer Elliott Landy, the official photographer of Woodstock and one of the foremost music photographers of his time!
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts will be joining us as part of their ORAL HISTORIES INITIATIVE recording attendees Borscht Belt and Woodstock stories! Peace of Stagewill be on site with an authenticated piece of the historic Woodstock stage!
This dedication is free and open to all.
BETHEL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Record your Borscht Belt and Woodstock stories with Bethel Woods Museum at the Kauneonga Lake Farmers Market located at the Veteran’s Park triangle (3594 Route 55) in Kauneonga Lake.
2:00 pm: Historic Marker Dedication at Gazebo Park (3562 Route 55)
2:30 – 3:30 pm: Back to the Garden at Gazebo Park (3562 Route 55)
Dance along to a groovy 1960s playlist with some light bites and refreshments!
