DESCRIPTION:Join artist Joni Wehrli as she discusses her work and exhibition, “Garden Variety,” on Saturday, May 6th at 12 pm.\n \nThe exhibition closes Sunday, May 7th.\nGallery Hours: 11 am – 4 pm, Thurs – Sun.\n \nWehrli’s wildly colorful, biomorphic sculptures reference medical illustrations and the natural world. The work exposes the artist’s comical side, joining disparate and often unyielding materials.\n \nWehrli is a painter and sculptor who lives and works in New York City and Livingston Manor. Her work has been shown in group exhibitions in galleries, alternative spaces, and university museums in New York and throughout the East Coast, including White Columns, Pace University, SUNY Albany, Hartwick College, and Marymount Manhattan College. She is a board member of the Catskill Art Space and serves as board liaison on CAS’s Art Council. \n
